As a companion publication to The Story of a House, the C{r}ookbook contains simplified recipe ideas - it is like a cheat sheet for French cooking.
It is designed in a notebook style, the accessible feel is emphasised with the paperback format and friendly rounded corners.
Like the main volume, Story of a House, it contains the words of the owners of La Creuzette (Louis Jansen van Vuuren and Hardy Olivier) and beautiful photographs of the food, chateau interiors and French countryside shot by Hein van Tonder and Francois Pistorius.
Though this is an appendix it continues the luxury feeling of the the main title. Black and white photography is elegantly combined with a soft metallic French blue for the english version and a stately metallic bronze spot colour for the Afrikaans edition.
